Why is it good for pregnancy diet?

Grilled chicken is one of the most recommended meats for your pregnancy diet, and in general. First of all, it’s not fried but grilled or baked, which means less oil and more nutritional ingredients. But beyond that, chicken has plenty of protein, vitamins, minerals and more. It gives your baby exactly what he or she needs to develop bones, muscles, internal organs and important systems, such as the immune system. In addition, it gives you, the pregnant mother, nutritional ingredients you need for a healthy and energetic pregnancy, like iron and vitamin B12.

Ingredients

4-6 pieces of chicken (thigh or leg)
1 sliced onion
5 spoons on honey
4 spoons of soy sauce
1 crushed clove of garlic
4 spoons of water
3 spoons of lemon juice
2 spoons of olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 390 degrees (200 Celsius) 
  2. In a big bowl mix the water, honey, soy sauce and the crushed garlic.
  3. Put the chicken in a greased baking dish. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Make sure there is enough sauce before you use it. If you think you need more, simply add to the bowl some more of the ingredients.
  4. Pour the olive oil on the chicken. Add the onion to the baking dish as well.
  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil with holes, put it inside the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. 
  6. After 30 minutes remove the aluminum foil. Bake for additional 10 minutes then serve.
